{"id":434,"date":"2006-04-12T02:43:30","date_gmt":"2006-04-12T09:43:30","guid":{"rendered":"tag:www.computerworld.com:\/\/f6518490ce9f72a3814f7541e6925735"},"modified":"2006-04-12T02:43:30","modified_gmt":"2006-04-12T09:43:30","slug":"sun-ultra3-mobile-workstation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/planet.mcb.guru\/?p=434","title":{"rendered":"Sun Ultra3 Mobile Workstation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the last 6 months I've been using a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sun.com\/desktop\/workstation\/ultra3\/index.xml\">Sun Ultra3 Mobile Workstation<\/a> as the main machine for development for Cheffy (and more recently using the T2000 for actual deployment testing). <\/p>\n<p>The Ultra3 is a superb little workstation, but definitely not a laptop,<\/p>\n<p>One of the key benefits of this machine is that it is completely SPARC compatible - you can move binaries from the Ultra3 and run them on a SPARC server, for example the T2000, without having to recompile or redevelop the project. <\/p>\n<p>For an engineer visiting sites, this machine would be ideal as you could use the software and utilities and copy them over with ease.
