There's a new software company on the block, and they have an amazing range of software available at some unbeatable prices.

\nThey have an office suite that provides full Microsoft Office compatibility, Acrobat PDF compatible products for producing and editing PDF documents, an SQL database product, music editing software, and even a photographers dream.

\nAll of the products are available for Windows; some of the products are also available for the Mac too. Prices range from as little as $10 to up to $30.

\nOddly, there are no Linux versions of the software.<\/p>\n\n\n

Why is that odd? <\/p>\n

Well, while the range of the software and its abilities is impressive, the reality is that the software, despite being given a new name, is in fact a re-badged version of an open source product. Every single one of which has its roots on the Unix or Linux platform. Also, in all the instances I’ve looked at so far, the products are released under the GNU Public License (GPL).<\/p>\n
